He was in town on business and he took me out to what turned out to be the best first date I'd ever been on.
We sat on a picnic table at my favorite park talking until 4 in the morning! From there, I moved to Savannah Georgia with him for 6 months before we both moved to be near my family in kansas.
A few days before christmas, we went to the plaza in kansas city kanas for dinner with some close friends. After dinner he looked very anxious to me, i thought he'd eaten something that didn't sit well in his tummy.
I asked him if he was ok, to which he said "yes, my stomach is just a little upset" and excused himself to the bathroom. A few minutes later, he returned but instead of sitting down beside me, he walked to the other side of me and knealt down on one knee and asked me to be by his side for the rest of our lives and to be his wife. He showed me the beautiful marqee cut diamond ring that we had looked at a few weeks earlier in a little jewlery store in my home town-the same place that my father got my mother's wedding ring.
I was speechless and my heart was literally fluttering as i wrapped my arms around him, cried like a little girl and listened to the applause of everyone in the resturant. A man at the table next to us came over to say congratulations and introduced himself as a ordained minister and let us know that we could "take care of this right here and now"! How funny! I told him I didn't think my mom or my sister would appreciate that.
We are now living in Joplin Missouri planning our wedding for October 17, 2009. All we can say is thank you to NorDating for creating a way for our paths to meet.
